Andrea, born and raised in Carloforte, has had a deep passion for cooking since he was a child.
As a man strongly tied to his land, today Andrea pays homage to and elegantly reworks the traditional cuisine of his island: from 2005 to 2020 he ran the Osteria della Tonnara and in 2018, together with his son Cristiano, he started the renovation of some rooms of one of the most beautiful and important buildings of Carloforte, the Cineteatro Cavallera.
Finally, in 2020, with the inauguration of the “Ristorante da Andrea – Al Cavallera” a new exciting adventure began.
The restaurant has part of which is an open kitchen framed by a large window. In this way, the sincerity and quality of the products is transmitted to the customer, who can grasp with their eyes, even before tasting, every secret nuance of what will arrive on the table.
The building where the restaurant was born holds an important place in the hearts of the people of Carloforte. This is why we decided to create a project that combines retro style and modern taste: inside the restaurant there is a nostalgic air.
The restaurant is cosy, with a mezzanine floor that creates an intimate atmosphere. There is also a small reserved room available.
Finally, with the large terrace, we offer an outdoor place to relax and enjoy our cuisine during pleasant spring days and unforgettable summer evenings.
