After the Girotonno, another beautiful series of festivals will involve Carloforte from late June the beginning of July. The traditional holiday of San Pietro will take place the 29th of June, with a whole series of events that will last until July 3 ,involving theatrical events and traditional folk music groups. On July there will be the Festa dello Sport (Sports Festival) with many sports competitions on land and sea, while the 2nd and 3rd of July Carloforte will host the event Primavera Sulcitana (Sulcitana Spring).

The island of San Pietro is the only place in the world where this small and rare beetle can be found. Unlike other cicindele, the Cicindela campestris saphyrina has a bright livery of a distinctive electric blue color, tending toward violet, and speckled with just a few yellowish white dots. This Cicindela is considered by all entomologists and enthusiasts to be the most beautiful of the 17 species of Cicindela in Italy. The Girin beach recalls the white sandy beaches and the finest tropical atolls of the Pacific. Sheltered from the strong mistral wind, it features crystal clear waters of an intense turquoise color and a shallow sandy bottom. Thick Mediterranean scrub and pine trees surround the beach and perfume the air. It’s frequented mostly by families with children, who enjoy spending the day in this incredible piece of heaven.
